4. Meta (Facebook) Pixel & Conversions API

We use the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) and Meta Conversions API (CAPI) on our website for advertising and analytics purposes.

4.1 What the Meta Pixel Does

The Meta Pixel is a piece of JavaScript code that loads on your browser when you visit our website. It allows us to:

  • Track conversions from Meta (Facebook & Instagram) ads
  • Build custom audiences for future ad campaigns
  • Retarget users who have taken specific actions on our site
  • Analyze how users interact with our website

4.2 Events We Track

With your consent, we may send the following events to Meta:

  • PageView — When you visit a page
  • ViewContent — When you view a product
  • Search — When you search for products
  • AddToCart — When you add a product to your cart
  • AddToWishlist — When you add a product to your wishlist
  • ViewCart — When you view your cart
  • InitiateCheckout — When you begin the checkout process
  • AddShippingInfo — When you enter shipping details

  • Purchase — When you complete a purchase
  • CompleteRegistration — When you create an account

  • Lead — When you submit a lead form
  • Refund — When a refund is processed

4.3 Conversions API (Server-Side Tracking)

In addition to browser-based tracking, we use Meta's Conversions API (CAPI) to send event data directly from our server to Meta. This helps us maintain accurate tracking even when browser-based tracking is limited (e.g., due to ad blockers or cookie restrictions).

When CAPI is active, we may send the following hashed (SHA-256) data to Meta alongside event data:

  • Email address (hashed)
  • Phone number (hashed)
  • First and last name (hashed)
  • IP address (hashed)
  • User agent / browser information
  • Facebook click identifier (_fbc) and browser identifier (_fbp) from cookies

All personal data sent via CAPI is hashed using SHA-256 before transmission, in accordance with Meta's best practices.

Legal Basis: We process this data based on your consent (via our cookie consent banner) and our legitimate interest in measuring ad effectiveness. Meta acts as a data processor for these events.

Data Controller: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. For more information, see Meta's Data Privacy Policy.

5. Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics 4

We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage tracking tags on our website, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GTM itself does not collect personal data; it serves as a container for deploying and managing other tracking tools.

5.1 What Google Tag Manager Does

GTM allows us to:

  • Deploy and manage tracking scripts without modifying website code
  • Control when and how tracking tags fire based on user interactions
  • Coordinate browser-side and server-side tracking

5.2 Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Events

Through GTM, we use GA4 to collect anonymized analytics data. With your consent, we may track the following e-commerce events:

  • page_view — When you visit a page

  • purchase — When you complete a purchase
  • sign_up — When you create an account
  • login — When you log in to your account
  • refund — When a refund is processed

5.3 Server-Side Google Tag Manager (Optional)

We may also use server-side GTM to send event data to GA4 through our own server infrastructure, rather than directly from your browser. This provides improved data accuracy and privacy controls. When server-side tracking is active, event data is routed through our server before being forwarded to Google.

Legal Basis: We process analytics data based on your consent (via our cookie consent banner) and our legitimate interest in understanding how users interact with our website to improve our services.

Data Controller: Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics Data Privacy.
